Our goal this year would be to refine our vision so that we can continue to achieve more consistent member involvement and ultimately, foster a greater sense of community for the ABA. The ABA is comprised of amazing entrepreneurs and strong advocates that not only support our mission, but are also committed to carrying out our vision;  it’s really such an honor to be leading this incredible organization with Co-Chair, Ben Pascual. We look forward to further helping the ABA continue our efforts in making an even greater impact within our community of Asian-American entrepreneurs.”

“Despite 2021’s continued pandemic challenges in navigating the business world, I am incredibly proud of all the events put on by the ABA organization.” Commented incoming Co-Chair Ben Pascual. He continued, ”Many events included topics that addressed these challenges directly, particularly its event on the impact of the pandemic on Asian American businesses in Southern California and its Business Advancement Program. The ABA also directly assisted small businesses by providing information and facilitating applications for the CA Small Business Relief Grant. As such, it is with great pleasure and honor to co-chair the ABA with Queena Wei next year. 2022 will continue to be a pivotal year as we hope to continue to re-engage and re-connect with the Asian-American community. ABA has uniquely positioned itself to be the organization to help the business community continue to succeed!”

Together, Queena and Ben both said that “Elizabeth and James leave incredibly big shoes to fill as the preceding co-chairs.  We sincerely thank them for all their hard work and their incredible devotion to the organization this past year. They did an outstanding job leading the organization through such challenging circumstances, and we hope to carry on ABA’s mission so that we can continue to make an impact for the ABA and our members as well. We look forward to their continued involvement with the ABA as returning board directors for 2022. ”

“The Asian small business community has been through a lot of challenges from supply chain, workforce, covid, and Asian hate. However, they remain resilient with entrepreneurship rate on the rise.” says Dennis Huang, Executive Director and CEO of ABA. “This is why ABA exists. ABA supported over 48,000 small businesses with their CA Relief Grant application in 2021. We have a platform to bring businesses together, build strong programs and create business opportunities for our members. We look forward to being even more resourceful to support the Asian business community in the economic recovery.”
